“Fantastic Experience!”
Keith is the perfect guide for the fantastic experience of Forest Bathing! I love being out in nature, but I’m also a little afraid of it. Keith is great with people and immediately put me at ease. His knowledge of the area and the benefits of being in the forest combined with his wonderful sense of humor made for a fun and entertaining session for our group. Thanks to Keith we even saw tracks of local, nocturnal wildlife that could easily have been overlooked. The location was absolutely gorgeous and inspiring. There’s no way to catch the magnificence of the colors we saw in mere photographs. I felt protected/insulated from the cares and pressures of everyday life and revitalized as if I had taken a whole week’s vacation – after just a few hours! The whole group had a wonderful time, adults and children alike. If you enjoy the out of doors, or you’re looking for an excuse to spend time away from screens for a few hours, I highly recommend Forest Bathing with Keith Adams.

Thank you so much 😊

Gyoen:
Kyoto National Gardens
Sirina, Thailand.

My family of four only had a couple of days in Kyoto center and did not have an opportunity to go into the forest for shinrin yoku. Keith suggested we could have a session in Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. We spent one hour under the nice shade in a very hot day doing some guided activities, and came out relaxed. I would recommend anyone trying shinrin yoku if possible, and Keith is a perfect English speaking guide in Kyoto area.

“As soon as I booked my flight to Japan I knew I wanted to also book a shinrin yoku (forest bathing) experience. I had been curious about the practice for some time and figured what better place to do it than in the country where the practice first started? I met Keith at the gardens of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. I had been there just the day before visiting the site with my family, so I wondered how different the two experiences would be. They were completely different - in a positive way! Guided by Keith, my senses were encouraged to soak up my surroundings in a different way and it was a lovely and calming experience. Forest bathing is about reconnecting with nature so you can reconnect to yourself. Keith was a great facilitator in that! PS: If you have the time, I would encourage you to go to an actual forest further from the city, While the practice can be done anywhere, I cannot help but imagine that it would be even more soothing to do it in the middle of a forest. Unfortunately, I had time constraints, but still quite enjoyed it and would definitely do it again.”

Two of my friends and I experienced the guided forest bathing with Keith in the Kyoto area on August 10, 2024. Our day-long forest bathing hike was outstanding! Keith is a great guide and so easy to work with. This was my first trip to Japan and I wanted to experience forest bathing where it originated. Ahead of our trip, I coordinated with him via email to plan the route. He was so helpful in answering all my questions. We had a wonderful day! Keith met us right on time. He was very knowledgeable, helped us learn about the health benefits of forest immersion, and provided a guided forest bathing meditation during our hike. We also visited a temple and shrine. Keith knows the area very well and we hiked in an area that was peaceful and not crowded with people. It was perfect for forest bathing! We were able to swim in the cool, crystal-clear river along the hiking path. Also, as an added bonus, Keith cooked a delicious lunch for us and served vegetables from his organic garden. I highly recommend Keith as a forest bathing and hiking guide. It was such a meaningful experience for us. Thank you so much Keith! We hope to stay in touch.

If you are traveling to Japan and wish to engage with nature in a deeply rewarding way, may I recommend Keith Adam’s Forest bathing hike in the mountains above Kyoto. Keith’s knowledgeable guidance led me and two friends on a hike through a magnificent forest overlooking monumental rocks and a crystal-clear steam. Along the way we came across an ancient Buddhist temple with only a few visitors. Nor was I expecting a delicious hot lunch prepared by the stream while we went for a leisurely swim in the cool waters. Later Keith led us in a short medication practice by the water before ending our hike. Every part of the day brought unexpected marvels. I feel fortunate and grateful to bring this deeply fulfilling experience back with me to the states. Thank you, Keith!
